Imagining The Butcher

In a future Second American Civil War, a Union commander plans to end the conflict by following the tactics of Tamerlane, a 14th century Turco-Mongol conqueror.

While he is Brevet Brigadier General Gideon Sheridan, the rebels of the Confederate of City States call him The Butcher.

Early in the drafting, I asked Copilot to create an image of what The Butcher might look like. At the battle at the Mill, his eye was wounded when a rebel struck him in the head with a human femur bone.

His story will be told in Boudica and The Butcher.
