While renown for commentary on movies, serial shows, and games, the drunken Scotsman is novelist Will Jordan. “Rogue Element” comes from his 9 volume Ryan Drake espionage series. Jordan describes Ryan Drake as “a man who finds people who don’t want to be found. Once a soldier in the British Army, he now works for the CIA, leading an elite investigation team that tracks down missing agents.”

The summary of the short film from Kickstarter reported, “CIA operative Ryan Drake is hoping to recover a valuable CIA asset and must infiltrate a heavily fortified base in order to do so. Unknown to Drake, his every move is being watched by a shadowy figure. With minimal resistance, Drake silently makes his way into the base and rescues the asset. Things take a turn for the worse when the shadowy figure makes their presence known and all hell breaks out. Drake must now shoot his way out of this base while having to deal with this mysterious assassin.”

Through Kickstarter, Jordan’s team recruited 5,212 backers who pledged £303,339. That money funded a professional production as demonstrated by the cast and crew listed on the film’s IMDB page. I recognize actors Patrick Gallagher and Mike Dupod from the cast.
