Text-to-Speech Tools

In terms of advertising stories, I would think YouTube videos could be a channel. However, looking for minimal additional production costs like a startup enterprise. AI can generate images to appeal to the visual sense, but what about audio? If the ad includes an excerpt that could me multiple voices.

Relying on Copilot as my unpaid research assistant, I asked for some solutions that did not involve hiring actors. Copilot advised, “Here are some great text-to-speech (TTS) tools you can use to generate audio:

  1. NaturalReader: This web-based tool offers a variety of natural-sounding voices. It’s user-friendly and supports multiple languages1.
  2. Balabolka: A free Windows app that allows you to paste text or open document files to convert them into speech. You can customize the voices and even export audio files2.
  3. Microsoft Read Aloud: Integrated into Microsoft Office and Edge, this feature can read text aloud directly from documents or web pages2.
  4. ReadAloud: A browser extension that can read web pages, PDFs, and other documents aloud. It’s available for multiple browsers2.
  5. Spoken Content: Built into Apple devices, this feature can read aloud text from any app. It’s accessible through the device’s settings2.
  6. Select to Speak: An Android accessibility feature that reads aloud selected text on your screen2.

These tools should help you create the audio you need. If you have any specific requirements or need further assistance, feel free to ask!”

I have been using Microsoft Read Aloud as part of my editing process as that seems like a good option, but I will add the others to my tool research list. 🙂
