Imagining Aisha

In Geronimo’s Spirits, one of the novels I am drafting, the lead character Chappo seeks revenge for his brother Tak’s fentanyl overdose death. His pursuit of the responsible Mexican cartel leads to a 21st century Apache-Mexican War.

In an effort to track down a lead to a cartel lawyer, Chappo investigates a migrant shanty camp. There he meets Aisha, an Egyptian illegal alien, who is forced by the cartel into a life of enslaved prostitution as the price of smuggling her over the border.

From her, Chappo is able to identify a cartel lawyer working immigration cases. She tells him where the cartel stores its cash within the shanty town.

Chappo makes a deal with corrupt local police to raid the shanty town to rob the cartel’s bank. His price for the information is for the police to help Aisha escape and relocate freely in the US.

Copilot created a sample image for me to help me visualize Aisha for the story.

Currently, I am a drafter and plodding editor of my own fiction stories. Looking towards the future when edited stories turn into published ones.

Here I am starting to bare my soul to give you a preview of what I have been working on.

See “Harvest of Blood” in this site’s menu bar for a preview of a draft chapter from Boudica and The Butcher, a novel set in a future Second American Civil War.
