The Cyn Trilogy – Cyn Victorious

I had trouble falling asleep because I was thinking about an undrafted Cyn story.

In “Cyn’s Obsession,” she was humorously introduced as a neurotic fingernail biter who accidentally shoots Brad, the actor she kidnapped. At the end when she is in the psych ward, she worries that Brad won’t forgive her.

By “Cyn’s Trap,” her new kidnapping victim Vic turns the tables to subdue her. Cyn becomes a sympathetic character begging forgiveness, but Vic judges her & punishes her. Instead of forgiveness, because she is open & honest with him, he accepts her choice, action, acknowledgement of error, & that she learned her lesson. She asks repeatedly why he is so kind to her; he replies that is who he is. In the end, he gives her his card & permission to call him for a date.

In the undrafted “Cyn Victorious,” they will have that date. Their dialogue focuses on who Cyn really is & what she wants as a person instead of a crazy stereotype, who Vic is as opposed to her image of him as a famous actor, and then what does she bring to a potential relationship.

Vic is Cyn’s ideal man: handsome, wealthy, & famous. They are both disillusioned by Hollywood’s false promises; he because he achieved Hollywood success and her because she did not. Instead of a famous actress living the glamourous life, she is a movie studio tour guide & part time seamstress in the wardrobe department. Part of the story will be a criticism of the Disney princess fantasy, desire for idle luxury, & irrational materialistic consumerism.

My Uncle Bob once told me that romance IRL isn’t like shown in the movies. This new story would explore that idea and a realistic look at what it would look like for Cyn & Vic to be together, which she wants & in the end gets.

Foul? How does the crazy kidnapper chick get a happy ending that contemporary single middle-aged boss babes can’t IRL? Cyn doesn’t remain unreasonably entitled, is accountable, and learns from her errors. Also, she discovers what she brings to the table instead of being offended by such a question. In the end, I think her character arc makes sense as does Vic accepting her.
