Rejected Short King

I had an idea for a “short” story. A guy is in lockup for B&E.

He is a short king who is sick and tired of getting rejected by women for dates. He gets revenge on his unsatisfying life by breaking into a rejecting woman’s place.

Instead of robbing her, he breaks the heels on her shoe collection and destroys her expensive inventory of beauty products. He attacks when she is at da club with the girls hoping for another meaningless hookup with a 666.

Instead of being interrogated by police, the story will focus on a conversation with his unsympathetic defense attorney.

I will model his appearance on Lee Arenberg as Grumpy in “Once Upon a Time.” He will be a disenchanted romantic disillusioned by contemporary single women. Contrary to the fairy tales, he will be a prince of guy judged as unworthy based upon the superficial and ephemeral.

In the end, his attorney gets the charges dropped with an offer to pay restitution as the victim is more interested in shopping than justice. That short king is an adjusted 6’4,” when standing on his stacks as he owns a plumbing company, so he can afford to simply cut her a check for the damages.

From the experience, the vengeful short king learns that he should accept romantic rejection as evidence that he had misjudged the potential date as worthy when she was not.
