An Army of Sons

An Army of Sons

While formatting Ch 10 “The Waiting” of my Boudica and The Butcher story, I came across one of my favorite lines, by Olga about Cyrus:

Olga teared up, “Yes, he is a leader of men, but he should be the leader of children. I would birth him an army of sons if only this war would end, and we could have peace again.”

In part that line is inspired by Daniel Chester French’s sculpture “Disarmament” (1919). Always grateful to Lee Sandstead for introducing me to it. I did see it IRL during a trip to Brookgreen Gardens outside Myrtle Beach, SC.

Currently, I am a drafter and plodding editor of my own fiction stories. Looking towards the future when edited stories turn into published ones.

Here I am starting to bare my soul to give you a preview of what I have been working on.

See “Harvest of Blood” in this site’s menu bar for a preview of a draft chapter from Boudica and The Butcher, a novel set in a future Second American Civil War.
