Another Sabaton song influencing my drafting of Boudica and The Butcher is “To Hell and Back.”

The song is about Audie Murphy, the most decorated American soldier in WW2. In particular, it is about him overcoming addiction to the prescription medicine he was given for his PTSD. Sabaton History w/ Indy Neidell has an expansive explanation of the association of Murphy’s history to this song.
