Formatted a draft with the working title “Feminist on a Blind Date,” which I found to be a funny dialogue.
Her contribution to the dialogue was the same ideological talking points repeated throughout the date from after the introductions to him leaving her in the parking lot as he drove away to escape. The whole time she was at most only superficially responsive to anything that he said or did, and then only for transition to her ideological points.
In contrast, he attempted several strategies to respond to her monotonous drone. At first substantive before he degenerated into only replying in the sounds of barnyard animals after she called him a pig. Fed up with his blind date, he attempted to make her leave by purposefully irritating her after she persisted despite his explicit goodbye.
He had several raw lines that I liked:
- “Kelly, thank you for telling me that you are a feminist. Now I know all of your political opinions without having to hear them. Let’s not talk politics, so you won’t bore me.”
- “Feminists are like those dolls where you pull the string then it repeats the same few phrases. It is like a feminist never had an original thought of her own.”
