I figured out how to use Pinterest. Some traffic to my author site was starting to out-click to my neglected account there, so I decided to beef it up.

For market segmentation, I can think of Pinterest as a visual marketing channel towards older female readers, whereas Instagram is a marketing channels towards younger female readers. Meanwhile, metrics on Google Ads and YT story vids show that my readership is likely to skew 2/3s female.

I have three boards created so far, with one for quote images and two focused on draft novels: Divine Gift and Boudica and The Butcher. Within the novel boards, I created subsection types to organize pins: “Books in Story,” “Movies in Story,” “Music in Story,” and “Similar Concepts.”

I might try to directly pin Instagram content to Pinterest to create synergies. However, those channels should develop distinct look-and-feel.

I’m Jaycee

Currently, I am a drafter and plodding editor of my own fiction stories. Looking towards the future when edited stories turn into published ones.

Here I am starting to bare my soul to give you a preview of what I have been working on.

See “Harvest of Blood” in this site’s menu bar for a preview of a draft chapter from Boudica and The Butcher, a novel set in a future Second American Civil War.
