Trash Can Punch

So one fun thing that I am trying to play with while editing my drafts is including fictional products.

It started with a running joke about male characters wearing purple boxer shorts with yellow dragon designs so if he were ever in a car accident the nurses would laugh at his underwear so he would be memorable and get extra attention in the hospital.

Then I had Piggly Swiggly a pork flavored soda. I didn’t even know pork flavored soda existed until I did a quick search. I just thought of the humorous name then figured out a product for it.

Now I have a story idea about an alcoholic smoothie brand so I can include that product in other stories. I have not named that brand yet.

Another poduct that I can insert into a story is an RTD called Trashcan Punch, which is a fruit drink with a grain alcohol kick. So instead of saying the character drank a beer that character can drink a Trashcan Punch.

Fictional products reappearing across stories helps show the various stories as being part of the same story universe.
