When I first made this About page, it was an admission of being “under construction.” Since I have more than a hundred posts for your engagement, so get to work! Just kidding, mostly. Meanwhile, I have been posting daily content regularly so stay a while, get comfortable, and don’t forget to come back tomorrow.

How rude of me as I didn’t introduce myself. I’m Jaycee Woods. Not the collegiate athlete, but simply a humble word monger…an aspiring storyteller.

So what? I have been writing some short stories, novellas, and novels. I spent a whole year just drafting as many different stories as I could…insert image of my sweaty brow. My inventory includes more than 300 drafted stories.

Currently, I’m in edit mode…maybe for the rest of my life. 🙂 I spent 2024 just trying to figure out my processes for managing my inventory and doing editing. I actually touched every story with some amount of editing including the new stories I created that year.

In 2025, my BHAG (big hair audacious goal) is to publish six stories, which means I have to learn to accept those stories are done well enough to be shared. Wish me luck, virtue, persistence, and the courage to take that leap.

Here, I share stuff that isn’t ready to be shared, but I do it anyways just for you; you’re welcome.

I plan on using this site to post updates on working drafts, story ideas, editing progress, and eventually announcements related to publication. Additionally, I will announce releases by other writers, share tips I am consuming from other writers, and my research related to tools to make me, and maybe you, more productive as a storyteller.

Elsewhere, I am doing more to share content on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook, so check out those links on the page border…where did those go as it is like where’s Waldo, but I guess below. In future, I will build out content on YouTube and X where I experimentally dabble for now.
